Room Inspector

About This Role

The Room Inspector will coordinate, inspect, and ensure the daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas at the historic Hotel Cleveland. This role provides direction, training, and support to the housekeeping team, ensuring Marriott brand standards are maintained and fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of all areas cleaned by the Housekeeping Department including guest rooms and public areas.
• Record all relevant information on the Housekeeping Inspection Report.
• Distribute new items to be stocked in guest rooms to Room Attendants.
• Notify the Maintenance Department of necessary repairs or maintenance work.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper and/or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in conducting room attendant training.
• Assist in completing room assignments for Guest Room Attendants.
• Assist in cleaning rooms or public areas and performing laundry functions as required by workload.
• Support the Executive Housekeeper with scheduling, payroll, and performance reviews as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous housekeeping or hospitality supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• 2+ years of previous housekeeping or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
