The Roadway Design Engineer will produce roadway and transportation designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards. This role involves leading project tasks, coordinating with teams, and collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies. The engineer will also be responsible for mentoring less experienced engineers and assisting in local marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Produce roadway and transportation designs for new construction and rehabilitation projects
- Lead and manage project tasks, including schedule and budget oversight
- Coordinate effectively with other team members
- Attend client meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, and liaise with regulatory agencies
- Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in producing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
- Assist in local marketing efforts, such as proposal preparation and attending professional and municipal functions
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in highway, interchange, and roadway design
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Proficiency in MicroStation V8i software, Bentley InRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in highway, interchange, and roadway design
Nice to Have
- Drainage design experience
