RN Supervisor, Team Leader

About This Role

The RN Supervisor, Team Leader serves in a management capacity, overseeing a clinical team with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role acts as a liaison between the Director of Patient Care Services, clinical staff, patients, families, and the community, ensuring consistent implementation of clinical policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
• Implement the overall Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Programs.
• Participate in the hiring, orientation, on-going training, retention, and supervision of clinical staff.
• Serve as a resource and support system to staff in problem-solving and determining appropriate interventions.
• Investigate problems and take corrective action.
• Conduct competency and skill evaluations, including 90-day and annual reviews, for all team members.
• Assure that requirements and standards are maintained by all team members, including productivity standards.
• Ensure continuity of care for patients on the assigned team.
• Adhere to budget requirements regarding labor, pharmacy, DME, and medical supply costs.

Requirements

• Current California Registered Nursing license
• Minimum one-year experience in health care management
• Demonstrated skill in administrative performance including oral and written communication, staff supervision, managing documentation and service coordination
• Ability to provide leadership to professional personnel
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of hospice care, treatment and services
• Sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient
• Positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience in health care management. Hospice/Home Health Leadership Experience Preferred.
