This Registered Nurse role serves as a leader in patient care, utilizing the nursing process within established professional guidelines. The position involves delegating, directing, and assisting team members, while also ensuring quality patient outcomes and professional accountability.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process effective in the delivery of patient care
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and other groups
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly
- Serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
- Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and communication style
- Perform other related duties as required to support patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
