About This Role

This Registered Nurse role provides comprehensive nursing care for patients across the lifecycle, with a focus on orthopedic, neurological, and medical/surgical patients on a 17-bed hybrid unit. The position involves patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients
  • Function within the framework of the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability
  • Maintain standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care
  • Perform patient assessments including collection of data regarding physical, psychosocial and health history
  • Appropriately evaluate the developmental age of the patient when performing assessments, treatments and patient/family education
  • Organize patient data into the formulation of a plan of care; identify additional information needed and make care decisions based on identified needs
  • Carry out plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes, ensuring care is appropriate to severity of disease, condition, impairment or disability
  • Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members
  • Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources necessary for achieving educational goals of patients
  • Communicate issues/concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager and/or physician as appropriate
  • Document patient care and concerns in the patient record

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required, new graduates eligible. 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting preferred
