About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifecycle in an 8-bed Operating Room unit covering various surgical cases. The staff nurse will utilize nursing processes for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, while maintaining professional standards and coordinating activities of assigned staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Function within the framework of organizational policies and procedures
• Demonstrate professional growth and accountability
• Maintain standards of practice
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program
• New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

Nice to Have

• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting (for PRN positions)
• Bachelor's degree
• Advanced certification in field of specialty
