This role involves acting as a leader in patient care, utilizing the nursing process, and delegating tasks to team members to ensure quality patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse will maintain involvement in achieving unit and department goals and demonstrate professional accountability.
Responsibilities
- Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group needs
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly
- Serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- None required
