About This Role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifecycle by utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role functions within organizational policies, demonstrating professional growth and accountability while coordinating care activities to ensure quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Function within the framework of organizational policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate professional growth and accountability
  • Maintain standards of practice
  • Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Certification
  • No experience required for new graduates
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required, new graduates eligible for nursing program. One year in a hospital setting required for PRN positions.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) for Dialysis specialty
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable

Certifications

ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele and Critical Care, valid within 180 days of start date) (Required) ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department, valid within 180 days of start date) (Required) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (Infusion/Oncology, prior to independent chemotherapy administration) (Required) PALS Certification (Pediatrics, valid within 180 days of start date) (Required) ACLS; PALS (Surgical Services – PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU, if unit cares for pediatric patients, valid within 180 days of start date) (Required) NRP (Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, Nursery, valid by end of orientation period) (Required) AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program (Labor and Delivery, valid within 12 months of start date) (Required)
