About This Role

This Registered Nurse (RN) II position provides professional nursing care to diverse patient populations and conducts assessments, assists with treatment, and patient education. The role involves collaborative work with physicians and other healthcare teams to ensure compassionate, efficient, and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, and perform patient education
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional health care team
• Demonstrate clinical competence in care, technology, medication administration, procedures, and emergency management
• Act as a patient and family advocate to monitor and maintain patient rights
• Assume leadership roles including participating in unit and shared governance initiatives
• Serve as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees
• Contribute to service line or hospital-wide initiatives in partnership with management

Requirements

• Graduate of approved nursing education program
• 12 months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• Texas RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (AHA)

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for required credential(s)
• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
