This role involves providing patient care using the Nursing Process, delegating to team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, and maintaining compliance with professional and regulatory standards within an Emergency Medicine setting.
Responsibilities
- Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient and family needs
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources
- Serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
- Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Registered nurse diploma
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills and ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment
- Good interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Registered nurse diploma

- Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing
