About This Role

This RN role leads patient care using the nursing process within regulatory frameworks, ensuring quality outcomes, effective delegation, and professional accountability. The position involves working nights in an emergency medicine setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice
  • Effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members
  • Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes
  • Exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions
  • Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for own practice and support the company's philosophy of nursing
  • Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines
  • Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team
  • Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Integrate behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and continuous improvement in the nursing profession

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement
  • Good interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • None required, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Certification In Clinical Specialty Area

Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (Required) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire (Required) Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire (Required) Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire (Required)
