About This Role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across all life stages, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. They maintain professional standards and coordinate care activities within organizational policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle
  • Utilize nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Function within the framework of organizational policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate professional growth and accountability
  • Maintain standards of practice
  • Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff

Requirements

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nursing program
  • No experience required; New Graduates of a nursing program eligible. 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) for Dialysis

Certifications

BCLS - Basic Life Support (Required) ACLS Certification (within 180 days for Cardiac Tele/Critical Care/Emergency Department/Surgical Services/Womens Services) (Required) PALS Certification (within 180 days for Emergency Department/Pediatrics/Surgical Services) (Required) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification (prior to independent chemotherapy administration for Infusion/Oncology) (Required) NRP (by end of orientation for Womens Services sections) (Required) AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program (within 12 months for Labor and Delivery) (Required)
