RN - Critical Care

About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessment and care coordination, focusing on consistent, safe, and timely interventions in a critical care setting. The Registered Nurse will educate patients and families, evaluate nursing practice quality, and maintain current knowledge in nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family, and other health care providers
• Coordinate patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely, and appropriate
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone, and in writing
• Individualize patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs
• Participate in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws, and regulations

Requirements

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
