Perform direct patient care tasks and procedures in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring patient comfort and safety. This part-time night shift role requires rotating holidays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Administer patient care procedures according to established protocols
- Ensure the care, comfort, and safety of patients
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course OR minimum six months of previous patient care experience OR completion of one nursing clinical rotation OR successful completion of EMT-B course
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Qualifications
- Minimum six months of previous patient care experience, or successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation, or successful completion of EMT-B course
Nice to Have
- EMT-B Certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions
