Patient Care Technician

About This Role

Perform direct patient care tasks and procedures in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring patient comfort and safety. This part-time night shift role requires rotating holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Administer patient care procedures according to established protocols
• Ensure the care, comfort, and safety of patients

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course OR minimum six months of previous patient care experience OR completion of one nursing clinical rotation OR successful completion of EMT-B course
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of previous patient care experience, or successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course, or completion of one nursing clinical rotation, or successful completion of EMT-B course

Nice to Have

• EMT-B Certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions
