RN - Critical Care

About This Role

Monitor and provide direct patient care to critically ill and unstable patients in a Critical Care Unit. This role requires rapid assessment, intervention, and management of life-support systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patient conditions, including vital signs and physiological parameters, and intervene with appropriate care
• Monitor and provide care to critically ill, unstable, and/or life-threatening conditions
• Manage various life-support systems like ventilation and heart-monitoring
• Participate in rapid response and other emergency situations
• Administer medications and other treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition and care plan

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Ability to function effectively under stress
• Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU) preferred

Nice to Have

• 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU)
• ACLS certification
• Experience in Arrhythmia management, Bariatric, CODE, COVID, CRRT training, CVICU, Care of burn patients, Chest tube, ECMO, External pacemaker, High acuity, Intra aortic balloon pump, MICU, Neuro ICU, Post MI thermo care, Post cardiac surgery care, Post neuro surgery, RRT, SICU, TPA admin, Transplant, or Vascular intervention
