The Revenue Cycle Training Specialist delivers high-quality education and training across the Revenue Cycle, including Patient Access Services, front desk operations, and Patient Financial Services. This role is responsible for onboarding, Epic training, ongoing skill development, and ad hoc learning sessions to promote operational excellence and compliance. The specialist connects operational concepts with Epic system navigation, ensuring staff understand both task execution and the 'why' behind each workflow.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, integrated education and training across the Revenue Cycle, including front-end Patient Access Services (PAS), front desk operations, and back-end Patient Financial Services (PFS)
- Facilitate comprehensive training sessions combining policy, process, and technology application
- Promote operational excellence and compliance through education delivery
- Ensure staff understand operational concepts and Epic system navigation through effective training
- Support consistency and alignment across all revenue cycle functions
- Empower end users to analyze standard workflows and understand desired outcomes
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of related experience
- Strong working knowledge of Epic or comparable EHR system
- Experience delivering integrated operational and Epic EHR system training
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual learning tools (Teams, Zoom)
- Must complete Epic Credentialed Trainer program within six to twelve months of hire
- Must complete HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) within 12 months of employment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of related experience with specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Nice to Have
- Association for Talent Development (ATD) or equivalent adult learning training certification
- HFMA CPAR Certification within 2 years of hire
