About This Role

This Electrical Engineer III role involves independently performing intermediate electrical design tasks, preparing design documents, and coordinating with internal and external partners for building systems in the Retail Sector. The position may also include mentoring less experienced staff and contributing to business development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate-level calculations and design with minimal supervision
  • Prepare and modify plans, reports, and technical documents
  • Review shop drawings for compliance
  • Guide junior designers and provide technical support
  • Participate in business development and client coordination
  • Support limited project management and coordination tasks
  • Maintain current knowledge of codes, standards, and design tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and design principles
  • MEP/Construction Industry experience
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards
  • High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus
  • Clear communication and willingness to ask questions
  • Accountability, reliability, and ethical behavior
  • Commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Collaboration and receptiveness to feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • FE and PE completion preferred
  • Ability to lead small tasks or portions of projects
  • Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation
