Retail & Coffee Manager

About This Role

Manage the daily operations of a retail and coffee establishment within a military dining setting, focusing on financial oversight, staff management, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administrative and operational tasks
• Handle all aspects of staff management, including hiring and training
• Manage all financials including budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Maintain knowledge of the market place and trends in food service
• Manage cost controls and control expenditures for the account
• Oversee sanitation and safety of assigned unit(s)
• Purchase and manage inventory
• Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team

Requirements

• Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations
• Knowledge of retail, food and catering trends
• Knowledge of quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Leadership, management and coaching skills
• Communication skills both written and verbal
• Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and the Internet

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred, or A.A. Degree plus related experience
• Three or more years supervisory experience in food service operations
