Lead catering and events operations, managing a team and client relations to ensure outstanding quality catering services. Be actively involved in staff development, menu presentation, and operational success including cost controls.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events
- Develop and maintain the catering marketing plan, including event planning service and detailed menu development
- Hire, train, and schedule catering staff
- Actively involve in the development of existing catering staff in-service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
- Ensure successful operations of catering functions, including labor cost control
- Manage food cost control and preparation
- Oversee transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the hospitality industry
- 2 years of experience in catering management
- Experience with booking, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment
- Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management)
