Retail Associate

About This Role

Sell retail merchandise to guests in accordance with company customer service standards, process sales using the point of sale system, and maintain a clean and organized retail space.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests
• Answer guests' questions and assist them
• Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise for guests
• Process sales with the point of sale system, accept payment, and bag merchandise
• Follow all register procedures and handle payments accordingly
• Assist customers with understanding the return/exchange policy
• Ensure all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed
• Routinely stock merchandise and face items on shelves
• Maintain a clean and organized store or stand
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and report to security and management
• Complete all related close-out paperwork

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent guest service skills
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Basic math skills
• Willingness to aggressively sell assigned items
• Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cash handling, point-of-sale systems, retail or customer service preferred.
