About This Role

Administer aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients. This role involves performing basic life support, teaching respiratory care activities, and maintaining equipment under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Administer aerosol therapy, chest physical therapy, and oximetry evaluations to non-critical patients
• Perform Basic Life Support activities
• Teach and demonstrate respiratory care activities to patients and their representatives
• Clean, assemble, set up, and maintain equipment and supplies
• Perform non-invasive respiratory care procedures as ordered under the supervision of a licensed Respiratory Therapist

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and completed one semester
• Active student status must be maintained and documented
• Letter of recommendation from Program Director
• Completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire

Qualifications

• A student currently enrolled in an AMA approved respiratory care program and completed one semester
• Must have completed a student respiratory floor therapy rotation
