Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About This Role

Support individuals with developmental disabilities to live full and independent lives by providing caregiving, life skills training, and community access support in residential programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance in daily living activities including medication administration, hygiene, grooming, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping
• Administer medication to clients as needed
• Teach life skills, including financial management and behavior management strategies, using effective teaching and mentoring techniques
• Facilitate clients' access and participation in the community by supporting them in gaining employment, building relationships, and finding recreational activities
• Model appropriate social skills and behaviors for clients

Requirements

• 18 years old or older
• Clean driving record
• Own reliable personal vehicle
• Willing and able to transport clients in personal vehicle
