Support individuals with developmental disabilities to live full and independent lives by providing caregiving, life skills training, and community access support in residential programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance in daily living activities including medication administration, hygiene, grooming, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping
- Administer medication to clients as needed
- Teach life skills, including financial management and behavior management strategies, using effective teaching and mentoring techniques
- Facilitate clients' access and participation in the community by supporting them in gaining employment, building relationships, and finding recreational activities
- Model appropriate social skills and behaviors for clients
Requirements
- 18 years old or older
- Clean driving record
- Own reliable personal vehicle
- Willing and able to transport clients in personal vehicle
