Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About This Role

As a Direct Support Professional, you will empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve greater independence and dignity by assisting with daily tasks and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and personal hygiene routines
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands, or enjoyment
• Track and document changes in overall health and behavior to support their care
• Assist with medication reminders or administration when needed
• Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Personal vehicle and insurance
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background check

Nice to Have

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
