Residential Counselor

About This Role

The Residential Counselor provides support and instruction to residents within an assigned residential site, helping them with daily living skills, implementing individual recovery plans, and ensuring their safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services including daily living skills, life skill development, supportive residential counseling, and transportation as needed by each resident
• Support and assist residents in weekly program schedules and outside activities
• Maintain the security and safety of the residents and the facility
• Participate in the development and implementation of the Individual Recovery Plan for each resident
• Communicate, in written and verbal form, assessments and observations of consumers to other treatment team members
• Supervise and monitor residents in self-medication
• Maintain accurate/current client documentation according to accrediting standards
