Provide direct support to residents at a Secure Residential Treatment Facility (SRTF) based on individualized treatment plans, focusing on personal care, environmental intervention, and group recreational activities. Administer medications and assist clients with self-administration to help them develop skills and maintain their level of functioning.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to residents according to individualized treatment plans, focusing on personal care services, environmental intervention, and limited group social and recreational treatment activities
- Provide limited treatment services and personal care supports for clients to help them develop appropriate skills to increase or maintain their level of functioning
- Administer prescribed medications and follow physician’s orders for all medications and/or procedures
- Document on medical charts and count sheets according to established procedures
- Responsibly assist clients with self-administration of medications within agency policies and procedures
- Transport clients to and from the program as necessary to engage and provide treatment services
- Maintain compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services
Requirements
- Eligible for Qualified Mental Health Associate registration through the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
- Maintain a safe driving record
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Human Development, or related field; OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental behavioral health experience and training
- Minimum three (3) years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting
