Resident Project Representative

About This Role

Provide quality planning, designing, and technical oversight for environmental, water, sewer, and public works projects in Bossier City, LA. Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, supporting the Project Manager and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspection work for environmental, water, sewer, and other public works projects and programs.
• Inspect all phases of construction and improvement work to assure compliance with plans, standards, specifications, special requirements, codes and regulations.
• Review and process contractor invoices.
• Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Review and process work change directives/change orders.
• Prepare substantial completion punch lists.
• Review and approve contractor shop drawings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods as applicable to a municipal setting
• Working knowledge of applicable laws, standards and regulations relating to construction, inspection, and safety
• Considerable knowledge of public utility/works inspection methods
• Considerable skill in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications, and contract documents
• Ability to prepare, organize and maintain inspection field and office data, reports and systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Strong writing, reading, listening and speaking communications skills

Qualifications

• High School/GED
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
