Vac Truck Helper

About This Role

Assist the Vacuum Truck Operator in safely collecting, transporting, and disposing of industrial waste, sludge, liquids, and other materials while adhering to safety regulations and performing maintenance checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist vacuum truck Operator to collect, transport, and dispose of industrial waste, liquids, sludge, and other materials
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures during the operation of equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on vacuum trucks to ensure proper functioning
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and address any issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to each job and material disposal
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate job tasks effectively
• Communicate any issues or concerns related to equipment or job site conditions promptly
• Act as part of the emergency response team in case of spills or accidents, following established protocols
• Respond to disasters such as hurricanes

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Willingness to travel for jobs that require multiple days on location
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
• Good physical fitness and stamina

Nice to Have

• Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Experience assisting with vacuum trucks or similar equipment
