This role involves serving as a key on-site representative for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring construction complies with documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements. It requires close collaboration with contractors, engineers, and regulatory bodies across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Measure quantities and maintain accurate daily RPR/inspection reports
- Coordinate field activities with office-based construction administration staff
- Assist with contractor pay requisitions and quantity verification
- Evaluate, document, and process changes in construction work elements
- Interface with contractors, engineers, homeowners, and regulatory agencies
- Attend construction progress meetings and communicate field issues
Requirements
- Construction field or inspection experience with the ability to measure quantities and complete daily reports
- Experience working directly with contractors and managing construction documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to project sites
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred
- Construction field or inspection experience with the ability to measure quantities and complete daily reports
Nice to Have
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
- Experience with Procore or MS Project
- EIT, PE, NICET, and/or NASSCO certification
