Resident Manager

About This Role

Serve as the strategic business leader for rooms operations, acting as the General Manager in their absence. This role involves overseeing various departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Security/Loss Prevention, focusing on guest and employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental strategies aligned with the brand's business strategy and lead their execution.
• Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results to identify improvement areas and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Evaluate Operations Team's ability to meet service needs and provide feedback.
• Participate in public space walk-throughs with Engineering and Housekeeping to ensure facility maintenance.
• Tour the building regularly to engage with employees and guests, understanding business needs and operational opportunities.
• Work with direct reports to determine areas of concern and establish ways to improve financial performance.
• Lead cost containment efforts within Rooms operations, including organizational restructuring when necessary.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
• 4 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area with a 2-year degree; OR 2 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area with a 4-year bachelor's degree.
