About This Role

Act as the on-property group sales liaison, contracting and closing group business within pre-defined peak room parameters to achieve revenue goals. Conduct site inspections and ensure quality service delivery by properly turning over business in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the on-property liaison for group sales within pre-defined peak room parameters for Property Sales
  • Contract and close group business
  • Conduct site inspections
  • Verify business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery
  • Achieve group revenue goals by actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue
  • Implement the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process
  • Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
  • Achieve group revenue goals by responding to incoming group/catering opportunities within pre-defined peak room parameters
  • Understand the overall market (e.g., competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) and know how to sell against them
  • Close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area OR 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related professional area with a 2-year degree

Nice to Have

  • Large group sales experience
