Manage all event service, banquet, and event technology operations to ensure the highest level of service throughout the event phase. This role focuses on maximizing revenue opportunities, managing costs, achieving guest and employee satisfaction, and overseeing the financial performance of the Event Operations Department.
Responsibilities
- Manage all event service, banquet and event technology operations and staff on a daily basis.
- Ensure the highest level of service throughout the event phase.
- Maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling during the event phase.
- Maximize profit by effectively managing costs.
- Achieve guest and employee satisfaction.
- Manage the financial performance of the Event Operations Department.
- Develop and implement the business plan and long term strategies for event operations.
- Establish and monitor measurable goals for the department.
- Oversee the execution of event logistics for all events.
- Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 4 years experience in the event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area (with high school diploma/GED); or 2 years experience with 2-year degree.
