About This Role

This role involves leading and managing the health and well-being of residents in a senior living community, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing clinical expertise. The Resident Care Director oversees care plans, manages clinical staff, and maintains communication with residents' families.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding clinical care
  • Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, developing and implementing improvement plans as necessary
  • Partner with Administrator and others to analyze and maintain resident and team member health safety
  • Partner with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents
  • Provide clinical expertise to licensed nurses and assist with educational presentations
  • Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through assessment/Service Plan process, documenting changes in health status
  • Oversee completion of monthly updates and report pertinent changes to the responsible party
  • Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels
  • Ensure the resident’s service plan is updated according to state regulations
  • Maintain communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns
  • Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs
  • Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis
  • Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing
  • One (1) year in a nursing leadership role
  • BSL Certification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
  • One (1) year in a nursing leadership role

Nice to Have

  • Registered Nurse preferred
  • Senior Living experience preferred
