The Resident Care Director ensures regulatory compliance in clinical care, manages resident and team member health and safety, and oversees clinical staff for a senior living community. This role involves analyzing occurrence trends, developing improvement plans, and maintaining communication with residents' families.
Responsibilities
- Ensure community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care
- Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans
- Partner with Administrator and other team members to analyze and maintain all resident and team member health safety
- Partner with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents
- Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses
- Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/Service Plan process
- Ensure the resident’s service plan is updated as indicated by state regulations
- Maintain communications with resident’s family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns
- Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Requirements
- Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- License in good standing
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
- Minimum 2 years geriatric experience
- Competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience, minimum 2 years geriatric experience

- Prior assisted living experience
- Prior home health experience
- Prior long term care experience
