Lead Care Manager

About This Role

The Lead Care Manager provides hands-on care, physical and emotional support to residents, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role also assists with the orientation and training of new Care Managers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a designated group of residents, monitoring their location and checking on them throughout the shift.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in residents' conditions such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary intake, and activity participation.
• Notifies supervisor or Health Care Coordinator of increased resident care needs.
• Assists with continence management and proper disposal of products to maintain sanitation.
• Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity, and ensures physical safety.
• Actively participates in leading and assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming).
• Engages residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
• Serves and collects food trays, assisting as needed, and reports meal refusals or loss of appetite.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident's room.
• Responds promptly and immediately to security system and resident call bells.
• Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors, and team members.
• Communicates with families and serves as a resource as needed.
• Performs resident laundry as assigned.
• Maintains inventory and resident charges according to policy.
• Assists with the orientation and training of new Team Members.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Nice to Have

• Certified Nurse's Aid certification
• Previous experience working with seniors
