This Research Technician Intermediate will contribute to lung epithelial biology and tissue regeneration research by performing experimental procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining lab records. The role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and contribute to translational projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform three-dimensional cell culture of lung tissues as organoids
- Conduct confocal microscopy
- Perform immunohistochemistry
- Isolate DNA/RNA and conduct RT-qPCR analysis
- Maintain research reagents
- Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures
- Assist in the preparation of research papers and meeting presentations
Requirements
- High school diploma or associates degree
- 2+ years experience in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques
- Demonstrated ability to perform multi-task and develop solutions to basic technical problems
- Strong attention to detail to tightly follow laboratory procedures and maintain accurate records
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimum 1-year commitment with occasional weekend work required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or associates degree
- At least 2 years experience (can include undergraduate part-time laboratory work) in cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in the life sciences
- Experience in three-dimensional culture of lung cells
- Working knowledge of lung biology
- Record of contribution to publications
