About This Role

Conduct complex experimental procedures and data analysis to elucidate molecular and cellular mechanisms of brain tumor invasion, contributing to the development of novel therapeutic strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex experimental procedures in one or more areas of work under supervision
  • Perform complex statistical calculations and data analysis
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and figures for manuscripts
  • Perform library research on specified topics and prepare bibliographies
  • Assist with manuscript and grant proposals preparation

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related
  • At least 1-2 years of various laboratory and data analysis experience
  • Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, and in vitro cell-based assays (e.g. cloning, immunohistochemistry, qPCR, western blot, ELISA and microscopy)
  • Proficient with standard computer software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and data analysis software
  • Organization, attention to detail, punctuality, and flexibility
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a collaborative environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology, or related
  • 1-2 years of various laboratory and data analysis experience

Nice to Have

  • Background in neuroscience or biochemistry
  • Experience with stem cell culture and differentiation protocols and flow cytometry
  • Experience with image analysis techniques and programs
