Research Tech Intermediate

About This Role

Conduct complex experimental procedures and data analysis to elucidate mechanisms of brain tumor invasion and resistance to therapies, contributing to translational research for brain cancer.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex experimental procedures in one or more areas of work under supervision
• Perform complex statistical calculations and data analysis
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and figures for manuscripts
• Perform library research on specified topics and prepare bibliographies
• Assist with manuscript and grant proposals preparation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related
• 1-2 years of laboratory and data analysis experience
• Experience with molecular biology, cell culture, and in vitro cell-based assays (e.g. cloning, immunohistochemistry, qPCR, western blot, ELISA and microscopy)
• Proficient with standard computer software (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and data analysis software
• Organization, attention to detail, punctuality, and flexibility
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
• 1-2 years of various laboratory and data analysis experience

Nice to Have

• Background in neuroscience or biochemistry
• Experience with stem cell culture and differentiation protocols and flow cytometry
• Experience with image analysis techniques and programs
