This Research Laboratory Tech Associate position involves coordinating lab operations, managing protocols, and supporting research activities within the Li Lab, which focuses on developing molecular and cell-based therapeutics for intestinal diseases and cancer immunotherapy.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors for purchasing instruments
- Oversee daily lab operations including reagent procurement and inventory
- Manage IBC protocols for recombinant DNA, viral vectors, and human cell culture
- Lead IACUC protocol management and support inspections
- Act as lab safety officer, maintaining documentation for EHS inspections
- Support research using bacterial/mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and recombinant DNA techniques
Requirements
- High school diploma or Associate's degree
- Interest in technical aspects of cancer/rare disease diagnostics or therapeutics
- Familiarity with lab equipment (centrifuges, microscopes, etc.)
- Strong organizational and independent work skills
- Willingness to learn new techniques as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree preferred in microbiology, molecular biology, or chemistry
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, or chemistry
- Experience with molecular cloning, flow cytometry, immunoassays, cell/organoid culture
- Animal model experience
