About This Role

Design, execute, and troubleshoot complex experiments to study mechanisms of organ fibrosis, while ensuring efficient and compliant day-to-day lab operations. This role focuses on identifying novel targeted treatment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, conduct, and troubleshoot complex experiments to advance the lab's understanding of organ fibrosis
  • Apply fundamental and advanced molecular and cell biology techniques, including immunology and flow cytometry
  • Perform and analyze immunological assays such as ELISA and multi-color flow cytometry
  • Utilize in-depth training to handle and manage rodent animal models, perform surgical procedures, dissections, and specialized techniques like blood collection
  • Actively contribute to the lab's intellectual property by co-authoring publications and co-presenting research findings with the Principal Investigator
  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight, ensuring the lab runs efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with institutional and regulatory standards
  • Train and mentor junior lab members, students, and technicians on proper research techniques, equipment operation, and lab procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in biology, biochemistry, or a recognized field of science directly related to the lab
  • 4-5 years experience in a related field (Intermediate Level)
  • Animal work experience
  • General molecular and cell biology techniques expertise
  • Ability to manage scientific execution and laboratory management

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Immunology and Flow Cytometry skills
