This Postdoctoral Fellow position focuses on Regulatory Genomics and Statistical Genetics, leading research projects in single-cell/nucleus multi-omics and genetics at the University of Michigan's Parker Lab. The role involves analyzing high-throughput multi-omic data from metabolic tissues and cell types, integrating GWAS signals, and contributing to cell/context-specific e/caQTL scans. The fellow will work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to new methods and assisting in trainee development.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead research projects involving single-cell/nucleus multi-omics and genetics
- Analyze high-throughput single-cell/nucleus multi-omic data (snATAC-seq and snRNA-seq) with short and long-read data, and spatial omics data
- Focus on leading cell/context-specific e/caQTL scans and integration with GWAS signals
- Work both independently and in a team environment for research analysis
- Learn new cutting-edge methods and techniques as research opportunities develop
- Assist in training new trainees, including Ph.D. rotation students, master's students, and visiting scholars
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (or near completion)
- Track record of published research commensurate with field
- Strong molecular biology skills
- Proficiency in programming, ideally in a high-performance computing environment
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Collaborative spirit
- Strong personal motivation
- Evidence of scholarly productivity (journal articles, conference proceedings, conference presentations)
- English language proficiency

- Ph.D. in a relevant field
