About This Role

Provide patient care services using advanced radiologic imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of various conditions. Perform and/or assist with minimally invasive radiographic procedures, producing images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Corroborate patient's clinical history, name, and date of birth with procedure details, ensuring accuracy and documentation for licensed practitioner use
  • Maintain knowledge of proper procedural protocols for adult and pediatric patient populations
  • Position patient using appropriate radiation protection devices and immobilizing techniques for age-specific patient populations
  • Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others
  • Select and operate appropriate medical imaging equipment according to established protocols
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification and anatomical marking
  • Directly assist radiologists with all radiographic, angio-CT hybrid, and/or ultrasound procedures
  • Utilize proper archiving protocols for processing and storing all acquired images related to procedures
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate exemplary customer service skills
  • Perform Quality Control checks on fluoroscopy and CT equipment

Requirements

  • Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification for Radiography (R)
  • Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) for Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) advanced certification for Vascular Interventional (VI) within 2 years of hire

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a school of radiologic technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice to Have

  • ARRT advanced certification in CV, VI, or CT
