Join Hallmark Media's Corporate Strategy Research and Insights team as a Research Analyst to provide data-driven insights, particularly for the performance of Hallmark Media platforms and the broader media landscape.
Responsibilities
- Support internal key stakeholders (Distribution and Content strategy, Corporate Strategy, and Finance teams) with data-driven insights
- Provide regular reporting dashboards and trackers to senior management on the performance of Hallmark Media platforms and competitors
- Create rating stories and digital insights for Distribution sales and marketing teams to support sales efforts and negotiations
- Fulfill ad-hoc requests to guide revenue generating business decisions under tight deadlines
- Source forecasting data (Pay TV, TV usage, SVOD, and AVOD/FAST) and competitive business initiatives to keep Hallmark media abreast of changes in the Media landscape
- Collaborate in providing insights that help inform decisions for Hallmark Media’s linear networks and digital properties by leveraging various data sources
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant research experience translating large volumes of complex data into accurate, timely, actionable business insights
- Experience in working with database tools and platforms
- Knowledge of Nielsen-based systems and viewing statistics
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or related field
- Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office applications)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree – Business, Communications, Marketing, Social/Behavioral Sciences, or related field
- 1+ years of relevant research experience translating large volumes of complex data into accurate, timely, actionable business insights.
Nice to Have
- Experience within a TV and streaming research team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data quality and reporting
- Prior experience with Nielsen/MRI/ComScore/Star Media/Antenna methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide a narrative using data
- Ability to work independently
- Strong collaboration skills
- Willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
