The Rental Field Service Technician will perform maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar and other rental equipment both in the shop and at customer job sites. This role involves applying troubleshooting techniques, determining proper repair procedures, and preparing parts requisitions.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs to Caterpillar and allied rental equipment in the shop and at customer job sites
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues with equipment
- Determine proper repair procedures for various equipment malfunctions
- Prepare parts requisitions for necessary repairs
- Interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization
- Prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service

Requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform repairs safely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-directed and well organized
- Proficient in use of technical software, databases and manuals
- Clean driving record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years’ experience performing mechanical service and repairs to Caterpillar and related competitive equipment
