The Rental Asset Manager is responsible for daily metric tracking, forecasting, and reporting to assist in planning for designated rental fleet inventory lines. This role ensures data accuracy, fleet readiness, process efficiency, and increased profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day Rental Asset activities and performance by tracking all fleet inventory metrics, identifying fleet trends and monitoring fleet changes.
- Produce quarterly fleet forecasts to advise and make recommendations on fleet needs and rollout plans.
- Compile and analyze data reports regarding utilization, unit status, reservations, rate variance, slow rents, or any other metrics as requested; make actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with Sales Teams to provide solutions to customer requests for rentals and sales from the fleet.
- Coordinate with Rental Operations teams to assess rental fleet location needs and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with Service Operations to approve large repairs based on equipment maintenance history, inventory needs, and asset financials.
- Supervise multiple employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, setting expectations, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving problems.
- Implement all policies, procedures, short-term/long-term departmental strategies and goals.
- Monitor and manage budget within scope of responsibility.
- Maintain active diligence in finding process improvements to increase efficiency in all processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 3-5 years' experience in the equipment industry
- Proficient fleet inventory forecasting skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite, internal systems and web-based systems)
- Intermediate problem-solving, decision making, analytical, interpersonal, relationship building, communication, leadership and influencing skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 3-5 years' experience in the equipment industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
