About This Role

This role involves serving as a frontline ambassador for a credit union, delivering exceptional member service, and fostering meaningful relationships. The Relationship Banker I will utilize financial expertise and a consultative approach to identify member needs and offer appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales, service, and operational functions in the branch, ensuring unsurpassed service and building long-term member loyalty.
• Process a variety of transactions including deposits, transfers, withdrawals, and account maintenance in compliance with regulations.
• Act as a Lobby Leader, welcoming members, managing lobby traffic, and assisting with wait times.
• Educate members on self-service and digital options for transactions and service.
• Connect members with Wealth Managers, Business Bankers, and Mortgage Loan Officers for specialized financial needs.
• Actively seek and apply feedback to enhance performance and member experience.
• Represent Vantage West at events, including sponsorships, community outreach, and financial wellness initiatives.
• Assist in training new and existing team members.
• Engage members with open-ended questions to uncover financial needs and recommend products and services.
• Create cross-selling opportunities to achieve branch and individual sales goals.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of customer service, sales, and/or retail banking experience
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
• Ability to work in an agile, goal-oriented environment
• Effective team player, cooperative, flexible and dependable
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to influence and build rapport quickly
• Compliance with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of customer service, sales, and/or retail banking experience
