About This Role

The Relationship Banker I provides exceptional customer service, processes transactions, identifies customer needs, and resolves service inquiries to improve their financial wellness. This role focuses on building strong customer relationships and educating them on banking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling transactional needs (deposits, withdrawals, payments)
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes)
• Develop relationships with customers, staying well-informed about their banking relationship
• Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM offerings)
• Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution
• Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are recognized
• Follow all bank processes, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including managing, identifying, and reporting operational risks
• Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance on Regions’ solutions
• Conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists to educate on emerging technology and assist with financial needs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed
• Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
• Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience preferred.

Nice to Have

• One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience
