Relationship Banker I

About This Role

Provide exceptional customer service on the cash line and phone, process transactions, resolve inquiries, and educate customers on banking products to improve their financial wellness. Build meaningful personal connections with customers while identifying and meeting their financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent optimal customer experience on the cash line while handling transactional needs (deposits, withdrawals, payments)
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests (new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN reset)
• Develop relationships with customers and remain well-informed about their relationship with the bank
• Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions (mobile, online, ATM offerings)
• Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution
• Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are recognized
• Follow all bank processes and procedures and adhere to applicable laws and regulations, including managing and reporting operational risks
• Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance on Regions’ solutions
• May conduct outbound phone calls using generated customer and prospect lead lists

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work Saturdays as needed
• Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
• Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
• Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience
