Rehabilitation Technician

About This Role

As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will perform patient care-related tasks and clerical duties within the Therapy Department, assisting patients in achieving optimal goals. This role is crucial for supporting the rehabilitation team and ensuring the smooth operation of treatment areas.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient care-related tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to assist the patient in achieving optimal goals
• Perform routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department
• Communicate verbally and in writing to members of the rehabilitation team
• Prepare patient for prescribed treatment and assist professional staff with patient treatment
• Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas and equipment
• Procure and keep an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge
• Appropriate telephone communication skills
• Ability to transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months relevant experience strongly recommended in a rehab setting

Nice to Have

• 6-12 months relevant experience in a rehab setting
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training after initial orientation
