Rehabilitation Aide

About This Role

This role involves performing routine exercises and functional activities for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist or therapy assistant at Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by therapist
• Assist therapists during therapy
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings
• Transfer and transport patients in a safe and timely manner
• Maintain equipment and working area in clean, orderly condition

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Good bedside manner
• Good physical strength and stamina for lifting and moving immobile patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 0-1 year of experience working as a Rehab Aid preferred
