About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Hartford Hospital provides patient-centered care within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, focusing on surgical services. This role involves utilizing evidence-based practices and the nursing process to meet the comprehensive needs of patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and medical staff directives
• Use the nursing process to develop a plan of care emphasizing standards of practice
• Address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and their families

Requirements

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• ASN Degree
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association prior to date of hire

Qualifications

• ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)
